2009 IYAC Directory Update
An update to the 2009 Directory can be found on the Members Section of our website, only accessible to IYAC members. If you're not sure how to access this section of the website, please contact your Regional Rep.
Membership Categories
Teaching Member: $173.25 includes GST
An active Canadian certified Iyengar yoga teacher who is trained in the Iyengar method and continues to follow this tradition.
Associate Member: $89.25 includes GST
A student teacher who is apprenticing with a certified Iyengar yoga teacher.
Student Member: $42 includes GST
A yoga student who has been recommended by a certified Iyengar yoga teacher. Initial application requires written recommendation for membership by his/her teacher.
Associations and Centres: $157.50 includes GST
Associations and Centres committed to teaching Iyengar yoga without mixing other methods or offering classes in other traditions of yoga.
Newsletter: $157.50 includes GST
A Canadian yoga publication dedicated to yoga according to the tradition of Sri B.K.S. Iyengar.
Certification Mark Reminder
Mr Iyengar requires that all certified teachers must hold Sri B.K.S. Iyengar’s Certification Mark within one year of being certified at the Introductory II Level. The Certification Mark indicates that the teacher has received proper training and is committed to teaching Iyengar yoga without mixing or teaching other styles of yoga.
